This week in Mill Bay, BC, we worked on a beautifully maintained Rivian R1S — a premium electric SUV that's part of a busy family's daily routine. With a dog and young kids on board, the vehicle had collected plenty of pet hair, dirt, and everyday mess that needed professional attention.
The client booked our Standard Detailing Package, along with pet hair removal. As parents ourselves, we understand how fast things can get out of hand — so we came prepared with the right tools and products. The full job took 5 hours, all done right in the customer’s driveway.
Interior Detailing – Designed for Real Life
We started with four rounds of vacuuming to remove pet hair, sand, and debris — especially under the seats and throughout the cargo area. Then, we used the Tornador cleaning tool five times across the entire cabin to blast out dust and dirt from vents, seams, cupholders, and hard-to-reach corners.
There were shoe scuff marks on the back of the front seats — something we see often when kids are seated in the second row and rest (or kick!) their feet forward. We scrubbed these areas clean, along with stains under the child seat caused by minor spills or buildup.
Next, we cleaned all plastic and trim surfaces by hand using soft brushes and neutral interior-safe cleaners. Once everything was spotless, we applied a UV-protectant dressing to help preserve the plastics and reduce sun-related aging or fading.
We also washed all glass surfaces inside and out, including the panoramic roof, which was detailed on both the interior and exterior for a clear, streak-free finish.
During the interior detail, we cleared out every pocket and compartment — even found a few toys, which we carefully set aside and returned to the owner to keep everything in place and undamaged.
Exterior Detailing – Three-Phase Wash and Shine
The exterior was treated to our three-phase wash process:
Foam pre-soak and pressure rinse
Gentle hand wash using the two-bucket method
Spot-free rinse with deionized water and soft towel drying
We finished off with a layer of spray wax for added gloss and temporary paint protection. A canopy was used throughout the job to keep the vehicle cool and prevent products from drying prematurely — especially important when using professional-grade detailing chemicals.

After five hours of careful detailing, this Rivian R1S looked fresh, bright, and family-ready. The interior was clean, organized, and free from hair, stains, and smells — exactly the kind of space you want when you have little passengers and pets on board.
And best of all, it was all done at the client’s home in Mill Bay, without needing to drive or wait at a shop.
